Save Her Honor

It was a sunny day of October 27, 2017, in a small village of District Dera Ismail Khan, Village Garah Mat, when all people were busy in their routine work except an old grey beard man named Sajawal with a strong family background along with his eight friends, who was wandering in the streets and was thinking about how to take revenge from a poor family consist of six sisters, one brother an old mother who had lost their father ten year back .Old mother was working in the nearby houses to earn bread and butter for the family. (The girl was being humiliating as per plan of old beard man along his eight friends because according to them, her brother had gifted a cell phone to a girl and talked to her by phone which was itself a false allegation against the boy three years back).Sharifan Bibi is the one of the sister of that unfortunate brother named Sajid who was accused for giving mere a mobile phone as gift to the relative girl of that old man named, Sajawal. This was the reason of enmity. This all story is about the Victim sixteen year old girl Sharifan Bibi who had been forced to walk naked through the village streets continuously for three hours . During this, they also dragged the girl in muddy and thorn streets where she got badly injured too.

On 27 October, 2017, as per routine, victim girl Sharifan Bibi was fetching water from a nearby spring along with fellow villagers and on return, about at least nine gunmen coerced her to walk through the streets of the village with no clothes on at the behest of the influential people on account of family feud. These men seized her and started dragging her. Without knowing her crime, the men first tore her shirt and then removed her clothes forcibly. According to eyewitnesses, the armed men did not allow the helpless girl to take a piece of cloth to cover her nor did they let her take refuge in anyone’s house. She was crying for help but no one came to rescue her. Then they took her to a hujra (Local place for gathering) where she was confined. Although the girl Sharifa Bibi was allegedly stripped and paraded publicly to humiliate but as an ironical turn of event, the influential people have lodged an FIR against the girl’s brother so that the family could be pressurized. The girl was humiliated as her brother had gifted a cell phone to a girl and talked to her by phone which was itself a false allegation against the boy. The family of the girl was her family’s rival. The boy was punished for this act some two years back and as per the decision of Panchayat, they had paid Rs300,000 to the girl’s family. They had not thought that after the passage of two years their daughter would be humiliated in this way that shocked the world. She claimed the rivals wanted to charge them in the first information report at the police station as they gave her daughter’s torn clothes to another girl to implicate them in a false case.
