Helmet Diving

Last summer of 2010, connected there before at the Basic Education Department of Adamson University when we had our outing. A real of out town, way to Iloilo-Boracay-Guimaras. In Boracay.

Anyway, in Boracay, one of the water sports activity that I have and having my first helmet diving experience. Here, the helmet diving organizers provides safety and a CD to make your helmet diving experience memorable with photos and videos in it.

I love going out-of- town especially going to the beach and scuba diving. In the helmet diving experience of mine, you could see numerous marine life and creatures. However, I am sad to see underwater that the coral reefs are not that so alive unlike in Palawan and Batanes where I scuba dived. The coral reefs are the so-called the "rainforests of the sea." Also, coral reefs at present, are dying around the world due to serious threats in our ecosystem.

As a brief history, in 1837, Augustus Siebe is the inventor of helmet diving. He is known as the father of Diving. The Diving Helmet at that time was sealed to a watertight, air-containing rubber suit. The closed diving suit, connected to an air pump on the surface, becomes the first effective standard diving dress and the prototype of hard-hat rigs still in used today.
