No where I feel sweet as home as Worldpulse!

The last 10 years, she was just a poor and illiterate girl but today she is a literate lady with a high salary where she can know what is right and wrong to start her new life. She was ever a girl who every one called her as a stupid girl, she was a girl who everyone ever said she couldn’t work beside selling vegetable at the market neither becoming a prostitute. All of those ugly words always went to her mind until she met a teacher who always encouraged her to strive and try to study to show them that she’s capable. After 10 years, she is ME, Sarvina, who always still need more encouragement from many people esp. my beloved parents, friends, and Worldpusle sisters.

The first time I joined Worldulse, I met OLUTOSIN – she is a strong lady who always inspires me most in my heart, later FATIMA wrote me a welcome comment – she made me felt I was not alone, I had fun with this community. For just only a few days, I got a message from Jade asking me to become part of her Worldpulse Volunteer Team – becoming part of her team was my honor, I am happy and excited to start my new life with her team. Until Worldpulse opened for Voices of Our Future application, I was really interested but I was not confident enough to apply. Later on, JADE messaged and encouraged me to apply for the VOF Program – well I felt so excited to see another person also encouraged me to apply was sister Linda M. Ando, these two ladies encouraged me much, they gave me hope and confidence to apply.

The most wonderful thing for my life is being selected as one of 30 women for the VOF Training Program – these five long months have taught me how to use new media, know the value of life and work, and understand how to empower the other women in my community. Compare to the last 5 months, I knew nothing about the media, I knew nothing about how to write profile, frontline, Op-Ed or feature so I am stronger and stronger and also educated the new media web 2.0 after I finished this VOF training!

It is what I feel from my mentor, midwife, my fellow correspondents and other Worldpulse sisters and brother. I can’t really wait to say thanks to you all. My mentor MONICA and Midwife LIZ, they are my nearest sisters - they are as my teachers who always support, encourage, give me ideas and suggestions, RACHAEL and SCOTT as they have helped me a lot with the new technology, kept me updated with ervything related with VOF, JANICE is a first Worldpulse sister whom I met in person in my home country - she's a kind and lovely lady that I won’t forget, NILIMA is my dearest friend whom I always share my personal things to her, HARMONY is also my beloved sister – she always teaches and helps me with my error English, EMIE is my lovely sister who always guides me how to start my assignment, NI NI is my friendly sister who always give me encouragement, RUUN ABDI is my gorgeous friend who always support me, INSHA, THAIS, SAHAR, FUNGAI, LAURA, SASONG, MARIPOSAASIA, SLAW, MURSAL, MEI LI and FARONA are the young talented ladies who always inspire me most, VIVIAN and WARONA are my wonderful fellow correspondent sisters who always give me idea and suggestions on my work; DAYANARA, BEATRICE, SHEKINA, SAPNA, RUDZANIMBILUR and AMANI are the special women who I always think as my role model – I love their work; MARTHA, MARVAH, AMEI, CAROLE and BOUNCE are the beautiful women who I am proud to be friends.

Now the VOF is finished but I feel we all are still in one – not long more, one of us will be offered a full scholarship at Empowerment Institute in earlier 2012 either 3 of us will be selected for the Speaking Media Tour in this Fall. I am sure everyone feels eager to know the result, anyways we should be very proud to be selected for these 5 months long training – it is our honor among of 600 women who applied for this second annual VOF program. I have known a lot and also developed myself to be a leader and helper.

I wish every one all the best and relax for waiting our result in the up coming weeks. I will be happy to see One and Three of us are selected for the winners. I am really excited and glad to have known you all. In my life I have never been valued as much as people on Pulsewire have done for me. You all have rocked and encouraged me to STAND UP to fight with my life more and yes now I am very proud to be your friend and Worldpulse VOF Correspondent. Without all your support, encouragement, ideas, comments and suggestions - I might not be able to finish all my assignment. Million thanks you all and also to all Worldpulse sisters.

I am writing this letter, not mean I say good bye - I just want to share my expression to my beloved Worldpulse sisters and brother. The last of my letter is to say thanks to JENSINE LARSEN for creating this wonderful forum for us ladies around the world.

Love you all,

Sarvina
