Introducing myself and my journal: Women/Activism/Social Change

My name is Samantha, I'm a junior at Portland State University. I'm currently enrolled as a full-time student, and I work as a SUN instructor at an elementary school in Gresham teaching basketball.

After reading how to get started and browsing the site, I'm interested in how much World Pulse has to offer. It seems like a great way to learn about a lot of different issues, and what is being done to make change. In particular, the founder's message from Jensine Larsen made a statement that I think is important to everyone: "I have a vision, but I need some support to realize it." A lot of people have great ideas and dreams, but they aren't always able to realize what they could accomplish--sometimes help and support makes the difference.
