Introducing myself and my journal: Beautiful Flower

About Me:
There's an innate drive within all human beings to achieve, succeed and survive.
I am Shaheeda Sylvester, a final year Media and Communication's student at the University of the West Indies, Mona, Jamaica and I can attest to the factuality of the above statement.
I am a driven 23 year old female, who has diligently worked to achieve all my past successes as I press toward those awaiting me.
Often being judged by my cover, I am regularly perceived as quiet, docile and pliable; all misjudgements that have worked in my favour. However, overtime, I have found it necessary to subtly and thoroughly declare to the world that Shaheeda Sylvester is going to make beautiful Herstory.
Various experiences throughout my childhood has moulded me into the young feminist I am today. And residing on Mary Seacole Hall while at the UWI, has opened my eyes to various groups, organisations and programs, that are focused on young women's issues and concerns. These programs have indeed been beneficial to my development as it is my aim that with time and I can make a difference in my Island of Tobago.
