Land Cares for You

How will you feel if I say that someone else is bearing your burdens for you? Some of you might strongly disagree with me. However, that is what I believe about the relationship between the land and humans.

As a 22 year old young Asian girl, I have gone through many ups and downs in my river of life. My six member family was very rich in knowledge, talents and good human qualities: not financially, which is why I finally ended up at the Asian University for women where I currently study at, under a special financial aid program.
Throughout all the hardships of my life, I did not carry most of my burdens. It was the land who did it for me. It gave me a place to live, food to eat, air to breath and fulfilled many other needs of mine. I never had to take the burden of creating food, air or a place to live. They were already given to me by land. If the land is not there, where will I stand on my feet to face the challenges of life?

Land is everywhere with me, providing me almost everything I need and leaves behind a very less weight of mine for me to carry. I am a human, so as you; land carries my burdens, so as yours. Thus, love it, respect it and care for it. It will remember you.
