Racism Against Native Canada must come to an end....

Today - a kit could be bought and built on lands of Cowichan. One single person dwelling; reconciliation required and immediately needed.

It wouldn't cost much to build a one bedroom single dwelling? Reconciliation needed for Cowichan Tribes Reserve; to eliminate growing homelessness of elderly and youth.

What happened to Reconciliation? Your support is needed, world-wide to restore trust with Canada and First Nations Safety. Canada has a fiduciary duty to First Nations 1st, let us make it happen today?

The traditional longhouse structure was built to hold many family members, to withstand weathering, hold spiritual ceremonies; spiritual and structure of the home combined, representative of the housing needs. We continue to be ignored by the dominant society of Canada, and continue to reside in one family housing units according to European family values. Regardless, we need housing today to meet the needs of the largest growing Aboriginal Population since the violent de-population of Indigenous Peoples from small pox and tuberculosis from the "trade" of blankets and furs.

Racism Against Native Peoples of Canada must come to an end......

High racism against First Nations Peoples of Canada when it comes to apartments for rent! How is Canada going to deal with the problem of serious discrimination from applications for renting an apartment, housing unit, or townhouse across Canada? We seek to find solutions, reform, new agreements and social strategies. Our elderly Native Peoples of Canada are growing in numbers and native youth for homelessness across Canada, as the Canadian Government promotes initiatives for unexpected high immigration/refugee status claimants into Canada, under the safety and protection of the state:

Refugees push Canada to record-high population growth......“This growth was largely driven by international migration,” the release said. “In the third quarter, an unprecedented international migratory increase was observed.”

Question? Then why are First Nations/Aboriginal/Inuit/Metis Persons denied living, shelter, or safety in Canada as Refugee Claimants push a record high! We seriously need new strategies to tackle the issue of "rent" and "housing crisis" for First Nations People of Canada, that has existed since "the Indian Act" and First Nations relationship with Canada.

The Constitution Act:

Indigenous peoples have a special constitutional relationship with the Crown. This relationship, including existing Aboriginal and treaty rights, is recognized and affirmed in section 35 of the Constitution Act, 1982. Section 35 contains a full box of rights, and holds the promise that Indigenous nations will become partners in Confederation on the basis of a fair and just reconciliation between Indigenous peoples and the Crown.

The Aboriginal Homeless Camps are growing and on the rise across Canada! The homelessness of Aboriginal Peoples is not isolation, it is a social-issue across this country, which can become based with statistics and facts. We have solutions with existing policies, but they are not enforced by law makers; the justice system must make landlords accountable for racism against Aboriginal Peoples. The government give an appropriate Rental Allowance for the Poor of Canada. Vulnerable Native Peoples are not Criminals but become criminals because they become homeless. Native people are denied basic human rights for social assistance, then for renting an apartment or townhouse, social assistance is low under Provincial Governments, and native people do pay taxes. We seek resolution from Canada around social policy to make all things right. Raise the social assistance to meet the growing costs for living across Canada. Please help our campaign by donating! Your donations are appreciated and they matter! Lets get this campaign off the ground. Our native youth matter, how many of them are homeless today? Too many........

In some cities, more than 70% of homeless people are Aboriginal. Overall,Aboriginal people comprise less than 4% of the Canadian population, but more than 10% of the homeless population. ... Current estimates put the number of homeless in Canada between 150,000 and 300,000 people.

Coast Salish Territory; specifically Cowichan - is Sovereign. Meaning, we govern our own finances. We ask then, why so many Cowichan First Nations peoples are becoming homeless, without shelter, starving, and without basic needs being met? Once an elder or youth becomes homeless, they struggle with eating properly, poor diet, without proper clothing, illness, possible disease, and mental disability because of trauma from living on the streets, and being poor, and experiencing trauma a normal person would not experience with no one to provide proper health care - because they are without an address, without an income, and homeless - therefore they have no health care coverage. So, we ask again why is Canada failing Aboriginal Peoples so greatly, and the number one political foundation that makes Canada so great is the fact we permit basic fundamental rights and freedoms? I ask, being First Nations and Cowichan? "Where is my fundamental human rights:

for shelter

where is our trust fund going

why am I denied employment

Reconciliation promised by the Government of Canada, and band moneys? Where is it going?

Band moneys are managed by INAC on behalf of First Nations according to sections 61 to 69 of the Indian Act, which outline INAC's responsibilities for the collection, maintenance, spending and accounting of these moneys.

There are two types of band moneys:

capital moneys

revenue moneys

Capital moneys

Capital moneys are Indian moneys that come from the sale of the First Nation's surrendered lands (from an interest in land), or from the sale of the First Nation's non-renewable resources.

Capital moneys include:

oil and gas royalties

sale of a First Nation's reserve lands

other proceeds from the sale of timber, oil and gas or gravel

According to Sovereign leaders, in which we as First Nations Peoples constantly live under the umbrella of cultural and legal binding pendulum in which we swing back and forth on a daily grind, because we are dominated by non-native laws within Canadian society, regardless of Provincial State. There is no Reconciliation, because the Government promised our timber, fish and raw resources to other countries, yet again failing First Nations Peoples of Coast Salish Territory? The NAFTA Agreement, is without a voice of First Nations Peoples within Coast Salish Territory. We say no timber, no fish, no pipe line, will pass through our land or waters - because First Nations people are growing in numbers without shelter across Canada. The treatment is inhuman with deeply rooted policies of racism. We would like racism to come to an end. We are Sovereign; meaning we have a paper Chief but our Nation has Hereditary Chiefs that have existed since time immemorial; that follow the laws of the longhouse. We respect our paper chiefs, but they do not speak on behalf of the Hereditary Chiefs of the Longhouse and Clan Mothers. Even the Hereditary Chiefs are treated with strong barriers and indignity from paper chiefs today!  There appears to be social conflict across all layers of social needs, which include housing and food safety. Our First Nations youth deserve more in the future than what we experience today. Aboriginal Youth deserve safety, protection, and dreams of a future; not homelessness once they migrate to cities seeking work.

Aboriginal Peoples, First Nations, Metis and Inuit live in fragile balance with the Canadian Government. We seek to resolve one thing - Housing/Shelter!!!!

I respect that Canada is a large country, but when other peoples from other countries are given priority or privilege within each Province for shelter, food, and safety, then First Nations are just being kicked aside, and its the kind of racism and discrimination experienced by First Nations through the democratic kindness and veil of "being a free country"...

Homelessness and Racism toward First Nations Peoples of Canada must come to an end;

NAFTA agreement, oil rights, timber rights, taxation laws must uphold and honor First Nations Canada, regardless of world need...the funding is there, but the Government of Canada has failed to honor their fiduciary agreements and duty to First Nations of Canada. We need single housing units yesterday for Aboriginal Peoples, let us build it today!

Thank you for reading...if you would like to speak with me, please contact me on here! We need world-wide support to house and shelter the next generation after Residential School; please care, read, donate, and support!!! A'ho
