It's My Birthday!

I love birthdays. This year I chose to celebrate it a bit more differently.

So often people look at their own balance sheet and cannot find a penny to spare to anyone else.  But I have always believed we could share the little we have and still make impact.  I may not have much but if the very little I have is put together with the very little you have, pretty soon we have a lot.

Through my very supportive Rotary Club I launched Inspirational Birthdays.  On each person's birthday they get to choose a cause or need that everyone can contribute to.  Happy coincidence that my birthday is the first of the year, so I get to launch this initiative.  Super excited.

Update

Finally did a hand-over a couple of weeks back.  It was so gratifying to know that such a small gesture meant so much  to someone.  Lillian's mom was in tears of joy, a heavy weight lifted off her shoulders.  A special thank you to my family and friends.  Together we raised enough diapers for about 3 months.  What a birthday.
