I am a media intern at Oxfam Cardiff and Wales council for Voluntary Action. With a critical eye for human rights and social justice, I am highly passionate about digging stories out of small communities from the developing world and bringing them to the media forefront. I'm about to graduate as a Master's student of International Journalism from Cardiff University and have specialised in Broadcast media. In the near future I would like to be a part of an International Organization working towards eradicating Poverty and other social issues and extend my expertise to help make this world a better place to live, for people who truly deserve. I am an Indian by nationality and this gives me a better understanding in identifying the real issues in the developing countries and the contagious enthusiasm as I firmly beleive in,"Yes, 'we' can do it"! Interviewing people/organizations, travelling, writing, consuming news through various platforms (tv/radio/print), developing story ideas to make interesting reads. Making unheard voices heard, digging news worthy stories, promoting cultural exchange between communities internationally and help set up partnership based development initiatives. Broadcast media, producing, writing news stories, filming, editing and pitching ideas to various platforms. Specifically have expertise in identifying key problems and possible solutions for people suffering in developing part of the world.
My Vision for the Future
Each person must be respected and enjoy the right to survive without any form of suffering.
