FORWARD EVER, BACKWARD NEVER.

I've been there, seen the worst, faced it and as a child i hated being alive after being thrown out from my home .There was no-body to lift me up or hear my voice .

I needed a hand to wipe my tears off, just to tell me every thing will be okey but there was still silence. Coming from a family that was once left in the cold, abused in the name of culture, it pains me most to see a woman and her children suffering.

Domestic violence can make a life hell and kill one's future if not condoned. Those are some of the memories that are still fresh in my mind. A woman suffers most in most communities and it becomes worse when she has children.

There are many people in my community that have suffered from domestic violence, cultural practices and some even lost their lives in the process because most of the times, women in Africa are regarded useless, they can not stand-up for themselves and they can not lead a group. When a woman is in the leadership position, men don't support such women, they always strive to pull her down so that she fails to deliver.

I am a woman who would want to see change in my world, community so that women too have a voice that is respected and can be heard far.

I would love my world to be free from stigma and discrimination, regardless of race or nationality, a world where all men and women work and support each other through thick and thin. I would love to see women being respected their own cultures, no more crying , no more pain , no more sorrow.

I would love to see a world where women are uplifted in into higher positions and bring to an end domestic violence at all cost, laws being put in place to stop violence against women and children, property grabbing perpetrators put to book and severely punished.
My other vision is to have a world, community that understands , support women and the girl child issues in their daily lives and bring solutions too. But this can only be achieved through the VOF where i strongly believe that my voice can go far.

Being on VOF means a lot to me because that's where i can improve my skills and learn a lot from other women on how to overcome obstacles in my world and community. VOF provides a platform that will change my life, community for better. I believe that networking on VOf with other women will help me improve and achieve my vision and grasp new technologies on how to go about my work.

VOF will guide me with necessary tools to get to my destination.
