Sister Zeph will Speak at the World Summit on the Information Society 2015

I have been selected as the winner of the Lynn Syms Prize for my initiative Zephaniah Free Education, which seeks to educate and empower women through both formal education and skills training.

I am now going to speak to the workshop on Digital Inclusion and Gender Diversity at the World Summit on the Information Society-WSIS, taking place on the 25th of May, 2015 in Geneva, Switzerland. The title of the workshop is: Diversity and Inclusion in Tech; Leveraging ICTs for Equality at the Workplace for Economic Empowerment.

I was working in my community since when I was just a 13 years old girl, for about 14 years I was an un known person , but then I joined world pulse and miracles started happening in my life. I not only got recognition in social and print media but a documentary (Flight of the Falcons) was made on my work by an International Tv channel.

Since when I have become a member of the world Pulse community, It feels like all doors for me have been opened to make a change in women’ lives

I met Iffat Rose founder and chairperson of the chunrichoupaal foundationat world pulse and we started a project Young Digital Leaders to empower girls through digital technology, a few months before and now we are bringing this project to Digital Inclusion and Gender Diversity at theWorld Summit on the Information Society– WSIS.

And I am going to speak to the workshop, for the first time in my life I will have an opportunity to speak in front of so many prestigious people and dignitaries.I wish our IT Minster Anusha Rehaman will also join our workshop.

Feeling so proud and honored thank you Iffat Rose for such an opportunity and thank you World Pulse for teaching me to make my voice being heard and empowered with the Digital Technology

I am an example that how world Pulse is bringing common women in a main stream and how they are changing the world with power of the digital technology.
