Introducing myself and my journal: being in place

About Me:
I am a child of rebellious parents who had eschewed the expectations of previous generations in most ways. Growing up I felt as an outsider in my community and my extended family and so I started traveling abroad early. I have sought out places where I can be part of a diverse and international population and build understanding across borders and barriers. I call Austin, Texas home now and enjoy the challenges of living in a diverse area of the US. I'm currently in New Delhi, India and will be traveling and working in Asia for the next several months.
