Introducing myself and my journal: Peninsula Pathways to Confidence



About Me:
I am a retired educator. My work was with literacy at the early development stage. I am a reading recovery specialist who worked with First Nation Community as well as in local schools. In addition my role as vice- principal enabled me to support our community .
Currently I am the president of CFUW Saanich Peninsula near VIctoria BC.
Our club is aligning itself with young women who are attending the alternative education centre. Many are young mothers who are receiving counsel to complete their high school education in order to seek higher education.
We also support students in the local high schools as well as the college and the local university.
Our mandate is to link up with local community services in order to support young women in our community.
