The One Sided Glamorous #MeToo

Where shredded the soul into thousand fragments

like the pieces of raiment covering the whole

died umpteen times the confidence

piercing arrows of shaming and accusations more

Had her voice been heard

or allowed to speak

thousands of more , then saved from disgrace

let your conscience play its role

fight then against your own fears

and walls around

to reinstate self in world

as never before.

Whereas there has been a trend setting change of campaigns across the globe and our nation, supporting the #MeToo Campaign that allows women to speak, express and opinionate their grief, angst and torture that they had been subjected to, it ironically doesn’t stop the series of incidents in the country or elsewhere of suppressing, harassing women, molesting or even raping them.

In villages, towns, cities, girls and women risk their lives and go to work and are subjected to different kinds of exploitation or terror. These streets have never been safe ever neither any hours of the day ensure women's security.

At workplace , or with friends, one never knows the kind of oppression mental, physical or psychological will be pointed on them .

Wars, Conflicts, DIsplacement from own countries, kidnapping, trafficking, trading , all are different facades of this existential truth which we are still coping with in every corner of the world.

What is it that leaves these things to dominate and affect us? Are we weak to stand and voice against the wrong? Or are we mentally prepared since birth to be such? Do families support the raised voice or angst of a girl, or tries to suppress it within the walls only to make her more weak?

It is time we raise our kids equally and sensibly . To let them know the seriousness of issues and mindsets that can change their whole lives. To let them be compassionate equally with either gender , to respect and accept people's opinion and their views , to include everyone in lives equally..

Egotism, adamancy and discrimination by people makes a woman more insecure.

As celebrities from Bollywood , the Indian Film Industry is suddenly being crowded and overflooded with allegations, revelations and more , this #METoo movement hasn't touched other stratas of society. The common women are still beyond the reach of media and a stage where their voices can be heard to alter the situations and given them mental peace and justice.
This campaign wherein tries to include all the victims to let them voice about the misbehavior, harassment and torture, it cannot and hasn’t been able to register , uncover, expose, the sexual harassment that take place on streets, schools, colleges, offices, round every bend, public transport and everywhere.
The victims who hail from lower middle class, unknown families, unknown faces, commoners on streets and offices go unnoticed, unspoken, facing and fearing the wrath every moment of their lives. Their fear and loss is more than what people or women in better position face. The fight for survival and family has kept their mouths shut and the real pervert s walk scot-free.
It is however easier for a woman in a better financial position or at work or being a public figure or a celebrity to express with the help of media and social media…BUT who will the unknown , not so famous women from streets , villages, towns ,cities would turn to for help or broadcast their voice???
Is #MeToo only for women from high elite class, well known faces , glamour or tinsel towns ,media houses or models by perchance?

Then when would the real awakening of conscience of every individual start …. In another movement named #WeAllToo?

Are you listening media houses and journalists? Do not work for your TRP's and views. Your screams on the television channels just brings out more shaming and publicizing issues which have footage to gain popularity or viewership. Go onto the streets , talk to women/girls on roads, offices, trains, public places, homes, states, villages and bring out stories , the real stories of #MeToo and not the farced made up and repetitive stories .

Work on your conscience and start the movement ,that's what can curb and reveal truths to stop more such harassments, molestations, killings, kidnappings !
