New Document titled “Divine Intervention: A Collection of Quotations from 'Sathya Sai Speaks' (Vol. 1-15)"

This post at www.worldpulse.com (and also at www.aidworkers.net ) is a brief introduction to a new document titled “Divine Intervention: A Collection of Quotations from 'Sathya Sai Speaks' (Vol. 1-15)” (collections of discourses by Sri Sathya Sai Baba from the years 1953-1982).

This 45 page collection of quotations was created to be a part of a larger work-in-progress titled “Calling ‘the Better Angels of Our Nature’: Preparing for Ongoing Re-evaluation of Education, Peacebuilding, and Community Revitalization Efforts as Part of Responding to the Challenges of Our Times” (see draft Table of Contents for that document below).

I have known of the teachings of Sri Sathya Sai Baba since 1991. In 1997, I completed a 301 page arrangement of selected quotations from “Sathya Sai Speaks” (Vol. 1-11, first U.S. editions) (discourses by Sri Sathya Sai Baba from the years 1953-1982). Since 2001, I have been building an initiative called The Interfaith Peacebuilding and Community Revitalization (IPCR) Initiative (at www.ipcri.net ). I hereby attribute the inspiration for the approach and substance of The IPCR Initiative, my personal capacity to see good in the efforts of people from many different faith communities and cultural traditions, and my personal faith in a positive outcome regarding the challenges of our times to close contact, over many years, with the wisdom and compassion in the teachings of Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

A draft outline of the Table of Contents for the “Calling ‘the better angels of our nature’….” work-in-progress (mentioned in 2nd paragraph above) is provided below as a way of offering a framework for how the “Divine Intervention” document might relate to other fields of activity—especially fields of activity such as education, peacebuilding, and community revitalization.

Here is the link to the document “Divine Intervention” ( http://ipcri.net/images/Divine-Intervention.pdf ). (Note: A pdf file of the "Divine Intervention" document has also been attached to this post). For a longer introduction to the “Divine Intervention” document, readers are encouraged to access the document, and refer to the two page section titled “A Note to Readers” (which is just after the title page).

[Update: Dateline-- January 15, 2010; This writer has revised the IPCR website, and the website section described in the following paragraph no longer exists. The ways to access the "Divine Intervention..." document mentioned in the above paragraph are still active. My apologies for any confusion. SP]

[XXXX] There is also reference made to this “Divine Intervention” document on the website of The IPCR Initiative (see reference to The IPCR Initiative above). At that website ( www.ipcri.net ), a brief introduction to the document and a link to it are offered on the lower left section of the IPCR Initiative homepage. The document “Divine Intervention” may be accessed and downloaded for free, as it was created to be made as accessible as possible to those people who can benefit from it. [XXXX]
