Hi good people,

I would love to interview Nelly Njoroge, a young Counseling Psychologist and Human Rights Advocate. She heads Peace and reconciliation programs under the National Response Initiative (NRI). The project is pilot based in Rift Valley Province, an area that was highly affected by Kenya’s 2007- 2008 Post election violence. She has brought healing to Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) survivors as well as reconciled families and communities

My second proposal is to interview Ann Njogu who greatly provides leadership in pushing for the advancement of Women Human Rights. She is a passionate and renowned Executive, lawyer and Women Human Rights Activist in Kenya.

I am finalizing on schedules for interviews. Please let me know what you think.

Stella, this is not an easy choice but I sense that you are more excited about interviewing Nelly Njoroge. Peace and reconciliation programs demand such compassion, empathy, diplomacy and tenacity, and so I think this would be a very interesting interview in the context of Sexual and Gender Based Violence. Whichever you choose, I am sure it will be a powerful interview. Best wishes...

I know of Ann as she quite well known. I have never heard of Nelly. I love what Laura wrote to Stella about her bio on Nusrat, "a telling of the stories not broadcast on the front page, but the ones intertwined and deeply held by those in the midst." It feels like Nelly might be more in the midst.

Whichever woman you choose will be the right woman.
