Female and armed conflicts

Girls in Syria had several challenges before the revolution which has been started as of 15.03.2011. Those challenges have been increased within time because of the chaos created by government to make Syrians afraid of the future of their country and the future of their life. Displacement, poverty, early marriage, prostitution, domestic violence, and having no access to education are result of the current armed conflict in Syria.
Syrian women need our help not only the materialistic one but the psychological one as well. We have to provide them with the needed energy, confidence, and equip them with the necessary tools to make them able to re-start their life.

Before the crisis, Syrian Girl had access to education if she lived in a location where there was a school. This luxury were disappearing if the place didn’t have any educational infrastructure.
Several girls didn’t go to university to continue their study because they lived in small cities where only institutions existed. They didn’t have the choice to select the study discipline as there were only few disciplines available near to their home town. Therefore those girls couldn’t find a job that met their expectations and they followed the classic career which was acceptable by their local community \"being a teacher\" as the working hours and schedule were suitable for a house wife.

For me it was hard to convince my family to work in human resources field. They wanted me to work in finance in order to work in a bank. I insisted on the career I would to start and hopefully now I am a human resources manager in a social bank. I was lucky, I would like to help other to make their dreams come true.

Nowadays the Syrian “little angles” are displaced, they fled to other cities or camps. The reason of not being able to go to school or universities are different. The situation is worse. The challenges of yesterday became a luxury for today. Girls are paying the bill of this displacement and they will continue to do so several times and along their life if no body helps them. Syrian Women deserve a decent life as their sisters on the planet.
