World Pulse: Representing the Ignored Voices

In this 21st century, we, who called ourselves as the feminists urge that Women aren't the problem but the solution. However, we are still considered to be the problems in most parts of the world. Generally, women, no matter whether in developed or in the third world countries, are neglected and discriminated in many walks of our lives.

Still most people in rural areas of Nepal believe that investing in educating for girls is worthless as they are supposed to go to others home after they get married. If fortunately, girls get chance to go school and continue their studies, which is has been possible in recent decades. However, one had to undergo many hardships so as to attend meetings and participate in various programs that were underway in the area, because many parents still thought that it would distort their daughters minds from their studies and the community itself would not receive positively for such activities.

One can always wonder how we can imagine empowering women while all of them are discriminated and locked in the kitchen or in the parameter of household activities. It is impossible to empower girls without the financial supports. One way to empower them could be, to challenge the potential negative reaction from communities and establish a micro credit for women and making them economically more independent. It can also embolden and empowered women with the positive attitude towards what women can do. I believe that until and unless women are economically strong, they will not be empowered; however, we also need to discover some other instruments to this end.

In search of other instruments and platform, another way can be to represent the ignored voices. From my personal experiences, I could not find any platform other than World Pulse to speak out for the need of positive change. Additionally, I am in awe by the activities and contributions that World Pulse is making all across the globe for the positive and sustainable change of women by providing a vivid platform.
