let's consider "liking" each other's NGO/etc. groups' Facebook pages

if interested, many applicants & other WP community members have causes & orgs that are worthy & that NEED our support. We can \"like\" their groups' facebook pages. Which will give them more internet social networking & exposure. We are all over the planet - we can help them extend their voice & work, in this way, so others in our fb networks may learn about them. (if FB is available to you -- it's blocked in mainland China, for example).

When I did that for one of the VOF applicant's NGOs, which came from a Resource request, I also wrote on the org.'s Facebook page that I had been introduced to that org. by someone from WP ( in thinking more about this, perhaps better not to give the WP contact's name, although we might mention his/her country -- in case there are security issues) ... & then I mentioned on that org.'s FB page about WP , gave a very brief description of the WP mission, and asked anyone interested to chk out WP's network.

For one example, this is what I wrote on the org's page after I \"liked\" it:
\"Greetings - I came to this page thru a woman involved w/ [name of that org.] in Pakistan, via World Pulse. If interested in WP, plse join their network, which seeks to empower citizen journalists & bring women's issues into the mainstream media. It also helps women to become skilled in civil society via health & education. Keep the Faith, {org. name]!\"

That's a full circle, & you never know who might become a big WP supporter or community member from that. It also helps promote WP as the go-to place for social networking re. women's issues.

All that took about 7 minutes to do -- assuming yr internet is treating you well today. ( -:

I love social networking & the Web because it is EXPONENTIAL!!
