Introducing myself and my journal: God Is Love

About Me:
I'm Romeo Tafadzwa Makwinye born & bred in an average family in Shurugwi Rural District Area in Zimbabwe where i did most of my education. I was born on the 3rd of April 1986 & by the grace of God, right now i'm in the 3rd year of my four-year Bsc in Geography & Environmental Studies Honours Degree at the Midlands States University here in Zimbabwe.
Notably because of my primary & secondary schools' background & the orphans & vulnerable children (OVCs) who live in my village & the Shurugwi District communities at large, this urged me to start a charity organization on the 4th of March in 2010. The organization is named God Is Love Foundation (GOLF) & right now it comprises of 14 members with some as young as 20 years old. What is striking is that GOLF was "born" during the most difficult year of my life when i was failing to secure University fees & industrial attachment. I remember that when it started, only 2 members were working as temporary teachers & the other half were still doing their primary education. To be frank, my first donations were US$2, 1 ball pen & 1 ruler. Right now we have 2 beneficiaries from the same primary school whom we are assisting with basic educational facilities & basic commodities to use at home but as GOLF we intend to cover the entire Shurugwi District.

GOLF's main goal is to reach out with sincere heart to the less privileged children & orphans in Shurugwi District Communities for the glory of God, by providing an accessible, sustainable & comprehensive awareness & community based care services through sensitisation, mobilisation & empowerment of communities in partnership with service users in Shurugwi District. As GOLF, we advocate to uproot illiteracy among the less privileged children in Shurugwi District Communities by providing transparent educational & social support.
To be frank, at the moment in time, GOLF is not a registered operating NGO in Zimbabwe. However i & the other zealous members have drafted our Constitution at our level best. On behalf of GOLF, i do hereby ask you my dear sisters & brothers to help GOLF to establish into an effective vibrant NGO for the benefit of the orphans & vulnerable children (OVCs) in Shurugwi District Communities. I have poured out so much about the "birth" & the current status of GOLF believing that someone out there will hear me & help me & my friends to establish GOLF as a known operating NGO in Zimbabwe. GOLF is new, the members are still novice, we need your advice, knowledge & expertise!
