Greetings to the UN women in action itrealy delight me to read about your newlt created program on the issues of women around the world.I just wish to describe the situation of women in my community, i come from a very smmall community from the southern part of cameroon, call numba. There our women and mothers go through alot of stresse inflicted to them by thier husbans , as a women in my village you are oblarged to feed the faamilty that is your husban and the kids ,during the driy season you clear the forest burn down the trees and cultivate , in the raining season you mush the farm s and weed while the men only concerntrate in harversting the palms wich is done once a month .This women realy needs to be sensitised because even after the men finish harvesting the palms it is the women who does the gethering and crushing of the nuts with thier bear feets , the men just seat back and wait for the women to sell the oil and give them thier money .It is intresting to note tha this men if they managed to provide for feeding it is just 2000frs CFA a week and they expect three square meals a day.Acording to these women they belive it is very normal since all the food stuffs comes from the farms. The worst is tha you canot divorce because divorcing means your farmily will have to refund all what your husband have ever spend on you and your family, women in my community realy need to be in formed and sensitized so tha is why i am calling on the UN women to realy look at issues like this.
