Introducing myself and my journal: Another day, another hope

About Me:
I started my career at a very young age as a war photographer and journalist in the Middle East. Subsequently, I carved out a career photographing people and cultures worldwide, freelancing and supplying images for magazines such as: Le Point, L’Express, Le Nouvel Observateur, L’Actualité, Elle Canada, Elle Québec, Newsweek, ,Time Magazine, and National Geographic. I also produced images for numerous corporations, advertising companies, educational and governmental agencies. My favorite subjects include the gentle and fascinating cultures of Guatemala, Mauritania, and Vietnam. Aided by fluency in English, French, Russian and Arabic, I enjoy being immersed in the cultures and social causes of those off the beaten path. I hold a BA from University of Montreal specializing in International Cooperation and Journalism. I am currently completing a MA in Peace, Conflict and Media Studies at the United Nation Mandated University for Peace. Some of my current interests are : the role of the media in the MENA region, child labor, gender inequalities, and the role of Arab women in social media. In addition, I am currently involved in an Internet media campaign shedding light on the atrocities perpetrated against the women of Congo. Please check it out at :
