About Me:
Tejaswi is a post graduate in medical and psychiatric social work and is working in the field for the past 18 yrs. She has initiated and coordinated the process of formation of sex workers collective, a Community Based Organization- Saheli Sangh, Pune of which she is presently the director.
Tejaswi is a recognized trainer for national and international organization in several areas like, CBO formation, issues of women in sex work, HIV/AIDS, AIDS Clinical trials, female condoms etc. She is on the advisory board of National AIDS Research Institute, John Hopkins University's HIV/AIDS Clinical Trial Unit in Pune and Global AIDS Clinical Trial Network.
By assessing the needs of sex workers she is successfully implementing Programmes like, community kitchen, 24 hrs care home for children of sex workers support group for HIV positive sex workers and networking, legal literacy for sex workers and advocacy at various levels. She is a certified trainer of Empowerment Institute USA
