Our commitment

World Pulse is celebrating Global Women's Climate Justice Day of Action by coming together and making a personal commitment to action! We share these with you here, in the hopes of inspiring you to continue to share what you and your community are doing, as well!

Ann: I will ride my bike or take mass transit 3 times a week.

Debbie: I will recycle paper and plastic.

Della: I will eat way less meat. Only once a week.

Lee: I haven't owned a car for the last 10 years. I will continue to walk, take public transportation, or bike.

Emily: I will continue to bike to work (or take the bus when rainy) at least 4 days a week and I will join the Citizen'sClimate Lobby.

Maya: My action is that I will join the Citizen'sClimateLobby, and continue to reduce the use of my car to once or twice a week (always with more than one person in the car)

Lisa: My action is to stop driving to work, period, and to start eating a predominantly vegetarian diet.

Chelsea: I reaffirm my commitment to eating 100% whole foods vegan at home, and to being an active member of the CitizensClimateLobby.

Sarah: My commitments are: to continue eating a vegetarian diet,to make a habit of busing or biking to work at least 4 out of 5 days per week andto prioritize trying to find a smaller home as we start thinking about buying a house.

Eliza: I commit to devoting time at least one day a week to educate myself onclimatechangeandclimatejustice. I commit to leaning into bringingclimatechangeup in conversation -- in finding non-aggressive, creative ways to do so -- with people in my network: friends, family, co-workers, etc. and to bringing deep listening and an open mind in order to bridge understanding and make it an issue that I can more frequently and comfortably discuss with people. I commit to assessing what my individual carbon footprint is. I commit to identifying 3 actions I can take, starting in the next 3 months, that will lower my carbon footprint.

Ellie: I reaffirm my commitment to walk daily as my primary means of transportation.

Tiffany: I reaffirm my commitment to support and promote solutions that include listening to our earth's voice, and to asses three simple ways to lower my carbon footprint.
