Making your journal entries more visible!

(I hope my title works hehehe)

No it's not a popularity contest - I was just trying to find out how some more of our stories can become more visible to the rest of World Pulse community. We all don't have endless amounts of time online and maybe our personal filters make us miss amazing stories and opportunities.

I started a thread titled "...what makes you read a post?" and based on my personal preferences and information from other sisters under the post I'd just like to summarize for your benefit:

  • Have a catchy title - something that tells your story and will attract readers

  • Your opening lines are important - your title drew us in so keep us there with some great opening lines that will make us WANT to continue reading.

  • Watch your layout - one big bulky post is not nice; break it up into paragraphs and skip lines between paragraphs. This makes for easier reading and at first glance, the better layout will encourage us to read.

  • It's online journalism but it's also your personal stories you're sharing so let the emotion flow - don't try to make it read like a news piece :)

I hope these hints help :)

Love
TJ
