Introducing myself and my journal: Tomato Talk

About Me:
I am a long time newspaper reporter and columnist, now semi-retired, that is, out of the newsroom but still writing freelance. I write a blog, www.juicytomatoes.com and do radio commentary for the local NPR affiliate in Sonoma County, California. I have been writing about women's issues since covering the new phenom of women's consciousness raising groups... in the late 1970s. That's about the time I first heard Gloria Steinem speak and I was hooked.
I've written two books about women and aging, including The Juicy Tomatoes Guide to Ripe Living After 50.
I'm married to a former newspaper guy, mother of three daughters and live in the Bay Area of Northern California.
Currently I'm co-writing a play on women and HIV.

My Passions:

My Challenges:

My Vision for the Future:
staying strong in mind and body and spirit
