Introducing myself and my journal: Tressa's Vision

About Me:
I recently retired as the executive officer of a large court system in California, USA. After a successful career, I am hoping to use my skills and talents to help other women be successful. I am very concerned that women's equality is taking a back seat to other issues.

On a more personal level, I am a native Californian currently living near Los Angeles. I am married with one adult daughter who has almost completed a Masters in Geology from the University of Alaska.

I have experience leading large organizations in political environments. I have experience in all aspects of leading an organization of 800 employees working for 85 elected judges. For several years, I have been (and continue to be) a member of the Chief Justice's Task force on Domestic Violence.

My Passions:
women's rights, evironmental protection, gardening

My Challenges:
almost deaf, using a cochlear to hear, avoiding inertia

My Vision for the Future:
still working on it

My Areas of Expertise:
leadership, governmental finance, human resources, facilities management
