Violence against women is one of the most widespread violations of human right in worldwide. Women in all over the world are facing sexual and gender based violence in every single day and every spears of their life. Consequently, they lose their enthusiasm, efficiency and potentiality. Also, she instigated a discourse on why so many women fail to get justice and highlighted the existing laws that pertain specifically to issues of violence against women.

N:B: You can watch the video of human chain here: Although the celebration was for one day long, this is not the end of the participation of UNYSAB AUW Chapter’s members on elimination of violence against women as we are going to work with a local NGO named YPSA, from where they will be closely working to eliminate violence against women. We believe that we have the power to make a difference in the lives of those women who encounter gender-based violence and to make a better world where man and women are treated equally.

Here in Bangladesh, my governmental and non-governmental organizations celebrate this day and media like newspaper and television cover many news, stories, documentaries and awareness advertisements too.
