Introducing myself and my journal: Hoping to Make a Difference

About Me:
I'm a baby boomer mother of three. All I ever wanted to be was an artist. I was pursuing that at TESC in the early 70s but dropped out to marry the person who was more importnt to me than anything else, especially myself. When I became a mother I decided being a good mother is the most important job in the world and I love being a mother and a grandmother. To help support my family I worked as a public school custodian for 21 years. I loved that job but always felt I was meant to do more.At 49 the time came to get divorced and get my life back. Fours years later I resigned from my job to go back to school. I always been a passinate environmentalist but didn't really know what I was talking about. Now I do. At 58 I earned my BA in Environmental Policy and Planning from WWU Huxley College of the Environment. Now I'm living my dream as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Philippines working as a Coastal Resource Mangement Extension Worker. I'm one month in to two years of service and loving it.

My Passions:
Living sustainably on our precious planet

My Vision for the Future:
Access to clean air and water for all and the opportunity for future generations to experience pristine wilderness
