Breaking the silence against the phenomenon "sexual violence against children" in the city of Bukavu and its environs

The phenomenon of sexual violence against children has grown in Bukavu under a common slogan called \"Ndogo-Ndogo\" (in Kiswahili) which effectively means the sexual exploitation of young girls (children) by people adults namely the case of teenage girls out of school and family breakdown in the three towns of Bukavu especially in hot areas of the city: Gasoline, Panzi, Nyamugo, Industrial, roundabout Carrefour, Cimpunda, Nyawera, Fire Red, SNCC, market Mashindji / Muhanzi and Bagira (area B and C) which are subject to sexual slavery and early pregnancy for economic reasons in clear violation of the law n ° 06/018 of 20 July 2006 on sexual violence and Law No. 09/001 of 10 January 2009 on child protection in DRC.



Other men sexually violent children following the false beliefs that sexual intercourse with a child can cure AIDS and it can also give wealth. These acts cause extremely serious consequences in the lives of these children. There are cases of death, contamination of sexually transmitted diseases, especially HIV / AIDS, unwanted pregnancies, disabilities incurred due to severe trauma. These child victims of sexual violence are also victims of discrimination and family and social rejection in the city of Bukavu
