About Me:
Working as an Assistant Program Officer - Advocacy and Communications Officer

This position is responsible for effective internal and external communications to support Shirkat Gah’s advocacy for women’s rights and promote advocacy efforts of SG nationally.

Role and Responsibilities

Remain current on trends and developments in women’s rights to identify areas of advocacy
Organize and support SG advocacy campaigns and actively participate in solidarity events

Build and maintain networks and relationships with NGOs, CBOs, government officials, media and other key players to promote advocacy efforts.
Conduct and support SG capacity building activities (meetings, workshops) of partners and communities

Regularly contribute to Shirkat Gah website and other social media tools

Prepare, obtain and disseminate communications products such as Press releases, appeals on women’s issues, videos etc

Maintain and promote SG linkages with youth and help increase their role in community development

Contribute to Shirkat Gah advocacy materials

I have done my Masters in Economics, Double Graduation in Computer Science (BS) and Arts (B.A) and Specialization in Human Resource Management. I worked in national organization to peruse my professional career. I involve in social sector since Feb 2009, and formed a youth group named “Visionary Foundation Pakistan”, that is now became a registered NGO in which I am serving as a CEO and Project Leader of Visionary Foundation Pakistan, Radio Vision Pakistan, Vision Mother and Child Welfare Health Care Centre, and Writers Bank.

My efforts were duly recognized by City District Government Karachi and appreciated by Mayor Karachi Mr. Mustafa Kamal, BBC Urdu, Dawn News Channel, Dawn News Paper, Express Tribune News Paper, and Teenager Magazine. I have won several awards and appreciation certificates in result of providing social services to persons with disabilities and deprived community.

My Passions:
My passion is working for women's rights, persons with disabilities, social development, education and seeing the nature in a different way by shooting it.

My Challenges:
To lean new tools and techniques for working on women's issues in respect of sout asian prospective
