Most important work done by the Organization "Sahayata" was that I came to know about the two Sisters of 2 and 4 years from a Slum of Raipur city, both suffuring with HIV+. It was a challange for me to how to protect them. However, After all efforts and unable to get support from Government, I, lastly met the Hon’ble Governor of the State Mr. K. M. Seth, alongwith the Photographs and video films of the sisters and informed him about illness, how their parents, both died with Aids and their aunt is trying to take care of their health but is unable, as she herself is too poor to arrange for the expensive medical treatment required. The Governor was kind enogh and sanctioned Rs. 20,000/- for the treatment of the sisters. I then, opened a joint Fixed deposit account in name of their aunt and myself and the Bank agreed to pay monthly Rs. 322/- to their aunt from the interest for the medicins. Unfortunately, the eleder sister died two years back but the younger is now recoverning slowly. We all the members visit her frequently and support her by our own and Doctor’s checkup. We pray to God for her health. To work for Women & Children of Slums, Villages, espcially of Tribal Areas Fight for Women upliftment, education and empowerment.
