I started as a Peer Educator on HIV/AIDS & Reproductive/Sexual Health Education including Life Building Skills for Young people with a special focus on girls. Most of my programs has been in schools and religious groups. I intend to extend my program for girls within my new community in a rural part of Lagos State, Ketu, Ijanikin where I live now. My little discovery within this community is the high level of girls drop out of school due to teenage pregnancy. Also,I have discovered a high level of child abuse, children are used as cheap labour and they also serve as apprentice instead of being in school. I desire to take education to their drop post and bring hope to women within this community where majority of them are petty traders with low or no at all education through adult education class.

''Every woman have a story at every stage of Life''

So much have been taught about HIV/AIDS, Cancer and others especially as it concern women but i have a serious concern about FIBROID. It tormented me for 5 years before i finally operated it. My concern is that it is becoming an issue for many young girls in Africa, Nigeria. It breaks home and prevent many young girls from getting married. There are many cases of those between 16 - 25 years battling with it. So many misconception spreading, the common one is that only virgin girls have it. This have really resulted to increase rate of unwanted pregnancy and virginity becoming old fashioned. For those who have notices it, the first option is to start taking concoction, which i took for years, instead of reducing like them say, it keep increasing until i become like a 7 months pregnant woman.

In my daily interaction with young girls, i have come to discovered that young people always have sometime bothering them and want someone to talk to especially as regards their health. I believe that education is one important tool for Life empowerment. Health Education for girls and women will provides them with knowledge, skills and self confidence necessary to understand their body structure and when changes occur. Health education for Women leads directly to better reproductive health, improved family health, economic growth, for the family and for society, as well as lower rates of child mortality and malnutrition.

Girls needs help to be empowered in all areas of life. Health Education can be a key
