Introducing myself and my journal: VOICES OF THE VOICELESS

About Me:
A veteran New York photo-print journalist-turned-videographer, born and bred in New Delhi, India, my first digital vidoe one hour TV program "MISTAKEN IDENTITY: A 9/11 Story" focused on discovering Sikh Americans after the terrorist Attacks on the World Trade Center 11 September 2001. Winner of three 1st prize awards at American Film Festivals, the investigative story is seen through the eyes of the late 21-year old Amanda Gesine Winklevoss, a young graduate student from George Washington University. Earlier, I specialized in producing and directing TV programs exclusively for North America and EU, under the company banner of "GLOBAL CULTURAL DIVERSITY FILMS (GCDF) INC., which was set up by a small team of 16/35mm women filmmakers. We were interested in focusing on topics of "leadership role models for women, world religions, spirituality and innovative and inspirational personalities ... exclusively for the global family and younger generation.

Therefore, GCDF's Archival department, since 2001, has incredible videotapes of hundreds of hours of digital/HD videos, as we have kept producing and directing films. That whole archive production is now part of VOICES OF WOMEN WORLDWIDE'S VOWW-TV NETWORK. Most recently, VOWW-TV has started editing and creating a uniqre TV series titled: "VOICES OF VOICELESS WOMEN" - ordinary grassroots women form around the world doing extraoridnary projects in their urban and rural communities. VOWW-TV is scheduling to edit and broadcast across some 100 WebTV networks within the next 6 months into 2013. Especially after interviewing tens of hundreds of women and young girls from around the world, including those 10 days conferences during the 55th & 56th Commission on the Status of Women (22 Feb-7Mar 2011 and 2 Feb- 9 Mar 2012). Most elaborate was the launching of UN WOMEN on 24 February 2011, at the United Nations headquartered in New York. It was officially declared by the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon who appointed the former President of Chile Michelle Bachelet, Executive Director. The events concluded in the midst of the preparations to mark the 100th anniversary of International Women's Day - one day - exclusively commemorated annually worldwide - celebrating all those ordinary women who have played and are playing extraordinary roles in the history of their communities around the world. It also became the "one day" to reflect on progress made for women's rights and to call for more radical changes and empowerment for the girl-child, young women and all women through progressive education and daily communication.

Unfortunately, VOWW's team saw how only Hollywood stars, corporate Presidents and global diplomatic Ambassadors, and other celebrated personalities, musicians and artists, who had lent their names, were completely swamped and covered by the mainstream and UN global media. Therefore VOWW-TV grew out of filming and singularly recognizing all those women and young girls left "voiceless" to attend their small but empowering committee rooms in the UN Church Centers and the Salvation Army building. All those grassroots women who had come to share their voices at the United Nations and report on what was happening in their national countries, speaking on spectacular accomplishments in their rural and urban communities in Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, South and South East Asia, South Pacific, etc.

VOICES OF WOMEN & VOWW-TV invites all women's and young girls' organizations to partner, host, share and become involved in distributing information and evolve in our regular syndications over YouTube, Goggle TV, iTunes, Facebook, Verizon FiOS, TiVO, Sony TVs, Vizio, the iPad and videoblogging and hundreds of partner-website networks. For example, let's become the Global Spiderwoman VOWW-TV network weaving the Web by sharing in the latest digital media technologies offered on the Internet Gateway. Let's truly learn to share and "monetize" our work - which stands excluded from the exclusve Corporate Boys' Club that generate the funds through their hundreds and thousands of partnerships,i.e. Microsoft, Apple, Dell, etc. There is much to be done ... and as usual very little money for the womenfolk. My Passions:
Creatively putting proposals, budgets, and scripts to produce preferably with womens groups, investigative docudramas to enhance, inspire and educate women innovatively around the world

My Challenges:
Most women's organizations work with incredibly devoted volunteers and frustratingly with little money - so we must work together and promote ourselves and our grassroots sisters in poor urban and rural areas around the world

My Vision for the Future:
Uniting women to understand multimedia and computeer technology and rise them to the level of gender equality and female empowerment and taking their lives and the lives of children and family into their own hands towards prosperity and livehood.

Offering expertise in using video camera, computers for editing, and appropriate knowledge of fundrising with business plans, sales marketing and distribution of merchandise to empower women and young girls
