My story in my nation

The country of violence against  women , the country of the poorest in the middle east , the country where there is no respect  for women or females .The country of high rates of illiteracy that is where I live which is Yemen .During all my childhood till now I encounter violence everywhere from family till my work place .In these lines I would like to highlight how much I struggle in my life  and human suffering in this nation.

My name is a Female from Yemen where my mother got married to very violent man who makes her life like a hell .He used to hit her everyday.He tries to prevent us from continuing our education; but, with God help my sisters and me finish our University education since mother won long time ago a case with good lawyer to make Father pay for our education.We are here 5 sisters and two very violent brothers who watched father time ago how badly he treated my mother and hit and now it end up in hitting us .Actually , in my country with this war there is no serious law to stop men violence , no protection and no safety .Only we have now armed groups who control everything  and behave as if they are the law.They kill anyone who criticize them or their actions.Moreover, a person here shot dead for travail offense.My youngest brother now hit mother , me and all my sisters if any of us argue him or disobey him .He imitates my father and my oldest brother who did the same.They even try to force us in marriage because  father still teach them to do this because he hates us and my mother.My father lives in Saudi Arabia .He abanded us long time since I was in elementary school.We wish we could live in peace with my sisters ,but to who we must complain or tell.I wish I could travel outside Yemen to find a good job ;yet, I  still do not have money for the journey.

Additionally, at my work place , my managers sides with male workers or my male colleages.I have no salary now with war since Iam a public employee.From time to time I think of opening a business ;however, I do not have money for that with all this economic crisis ,  inflation with no Gas or No fuel that makes  it  very  difficult .I only earn monthly from my public work 5 dollars.Since Yemen’s society is a male society where they favor men in education , work and marriage so problems against women persist.They suffer from bad nutrition because of poverty  and also because my nation is reported in need of humariatin assistance since 2015 when  a Saudi led coalition started  war against Shia Houthi forces in Yemen.Millions face starvation , many are killed and injured .People here use now  wood for cooking and my family as well with a difficulty  to obtain food and medical supply.In some places , people eat leaves of the tress.

To summarize , despite all depression, all harsh condition in war , all violence and sadness in my strict community and personal life  I still do not lose all hope for the bright future.
