For the first time since 2010, 7 North African entrepreneurs



(Egypt-Tunisia-Morocco) out of 47 extraordinary leadership women Joined AWEP.





In 2015 the African women's empowerment year , 47 African women entrepreneurs selected by the State Department for their leadership skills for AWEP which is a trade and investment initiative started by the U.S. Department of State in 2010 in partnership with the U.S. Agency for International Development to attend professional development meetings and network with U.S. policy makers, companies, industry associations, non profit groups, and multilateral development organizations. The three-week program allowed the AWEP participants to share best practices, discuss common challenges and learn about the global economy and factors that lead to long-term business growth.



AWEP addresses gender income inequality helping women establish economic ties with U.S.A businesses to transform their local African communities.



This year participants had potential meetings with: - United Nation Development program UNDP - Alliance of women Entrepreneurs - Women Entrepreneurs NYC - National association of women business organization -Temple university Fox school of business innovation and entrepreneurship institute -Pace university 's entrepreneurship - George Washington University -Georgetown University -Meridian international centre for women's leadership -United states agency for international development ( women ) -United states department of state , bureau of near eastern affairs.



في عام 2015 عام التمكين الاقتصادي للمراة الافريقية تشارك 47 سيدة في المبادرة التجارية الاستثمارية التي اطلقتها وزارة الخارجية منذ 2010 لاستضافة رائدات الاعمال للتعريف بانجازات المراة الافريقية و ذلك لكي يطرحن تجاربهن علي في 4 ولايات بأمريكا : شيكاغو - نيويورك - بنسيلفينيا - واشنطن بهدف تشجيع تمكين النساء اقتصاديا، و تعزيز وصولهن للأسواق ، ودعم رائدات الأعمال الأفريقيات في جميع أرجاء شمالأفريقيا و ايضا لمتابعة ما تم انجازه من الاهداف الانمائية للالفية بشان تحقيق المساواة بين الجنسين في القارة الافريقية.
