We All Have the Potential to Create Great Change

My name is Wendy and I have just recently joined Pulsewire. I have to confess I am very excited but a little nervous about this personal journal. I guess I'm worried I'll share something embarrassing, and later regret it.

My biggest passion is children's issues. I've recently started my thesis proposal, and it's about grassroots methods for raising Africa's orphans. I'm extremely pleased with my topic, but sad about the staggering number of orphans in Africa. It's tragic and un-exceptable, I will try my best to do work that brings hope to these children. I wish I could tuck every one of them in at night, and give them a snuggle and a story. Every child deserves that!

It took my a long time to realize that you don't have to do big grandiose things to create change in people's lives. Often it's just the little things that make the biggest impact. Like smiling at a homeless person, you don't have to give them money, to treat them like a human being.

I can't wait to hear from the rest of you and become a part of the World Pulse community!
