Day 2 - UN Global Summit in New York

I have been listening to live stream of statements at the UN Summit from New York this morning, and downloading the individual country statements off the UN web site. I certainly want to encourage viewers on this platform who have good access to the internet to take time to review the massive amount of information coming out of the UN Summit.

Millions of people have seen their lives transformed since 2001. Can the levels of investment continue as well as the pace of success in countries around the world? I continue to press for the use of modern technology and social networking as a cost-effective way to continue the pace of progress towards achieving successful MDG outcomes by 2015.

On a social marketing listserv that I subscribe to there is currently a lively discussion on-going about how private sector can and must be involved over the next 5 years. It is not only possible to think that hundreds of thousands of new jobs will be created by innovative female entrepreneurs, and World Pulse is an excellent platform to help ensure that it becomes a reality.

I will call attention to an Academy for Educational Development (AED) hosted the TEDx Washington event with Melinda French Gates on the Millennium Development Goals (MDG). It definitely posits that the best ideas are local ideas that lead to sustainable solutions...  Follow this link for more details: http://www.theaedhub.org/archives/658
