Introducing myself and my journal: SUCCESS LIES IN YOUR OWN HANDS

Posted July 30, 2014 from Malawi

About Me: I am a Young Lady aged 25. I hold a Bachelors Degree in Humanities. I have been raised from an economic hardship background. The financial problems I went through growing up have helped me work hard and earn my Degree. I chose to believe that I can make it in life despite the financial problems in my family. I chose to ignore all the hardships which could have easily set me back if I paid too much attention to them. I chose success and refused to declare that I am poor hence I can't make it. I have known what it means to be poor hence I understand someone going through the situation. I work hard to start up an organization that will help poor kids and girls who have the potential but cannot pursue their dreams/goals simply because they are financially challenged. I want to create a better world for Girls and children struggling for success.

I do not believe in failure. I believe that with hard-work, diligence, determination and God everything is possible and I can make it in life with these. As I am now seeking to start up my organization I believe it is done though I may not have the capital. Determination, God and hard-work keep me going despite the rough road because I believe that I will be there no matter what.

My Passions: Writing, Music and Dance, Helping people

My Challenges: Having no reliable job since graduation in 2012

My Vision for the Future: I see myself helping girls and children achieve their goals. I see myself smiling because I will be able to put a smile on numerous faces by finacially, spiritually and emotionally supporting them achieve their dreams

My Areas of Expertise: Writing, Project Coordination, Counselling and Advice

I am serving as an ambassador to the 2015 Parliament of the World's Religions in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.

The purpose of this event is to create harmony, not necessarily agreement, among the spiritual voices on our shared earth.

I would very much like to bring the harmony of World Pulse voices with me. I am planning a One Billion Rising event in conjunction with the Women's Initiative on the fisrt day of the parliament. Please look at the attached links and let me know if you'd like to add your voice.

Continue being a blessing in our shared universe.
