Reaching out through journalistic media to the UN

We feel the engaged use of journalistic media to report in-depth articles about global women is vital to helping the United Nations do the job it was created to do. So, what is this mission at the UN? According the UN Millennium Development Goals, the goal of empowering women must help and assist those women (and others) on-the-ground who are suffering from denial of rights, from extreme poverty, caste discrimination, lack of protection from human trafficking, from proper representation in their country legislation and lack of proper and expansive education. By sharing detailed accounts from women inside their home regions we feel deeply that a better understanding and empathy can occur at a high level at the United Nations. Women News Network - WNN is dedicated to helping build the bridge between women on-the-ground and the administrative power to enact "ACTION" via the UN.
