About Me: I have been working as journalist during the last 19 years. I used to work with CNN, NBC and Telemundo as a writer, producer and Chief Correspondents in Mexico. In 2003 I quitted TV bussines, I moved to Europe, and started my real passion: to write investigative articles about social issues. In Barcelona, Spain I've studied Culture of Peace and Conflict Resolutions: I found my inner goal, not only professional but personal as well: to write that that we call "Peace Journalism". I returned to Mexico in 2007 and I worked again in a spanish CNN website during 2 years, but now, I am about to launch my dream and my passion: Peace Correspondent, a new digital media which entire content will be dedicated to this new perspective of our world problems

My Passions: To write, to dance, to travel by knowing new places, new cultures, differents views, and new people

My Challenges: To launch my website and to grow up with it and with people around this project

My Vision for the Future: A solidar world, an ethic economy, a new human being who understand that differences are our strenght, not our weakness, a HUGE network sharing experiences to grow up and solve our conflicts

My Areas of Expertise: Peace Journalism, TV Production, Visual language, Literary Journalism, International Issues

Welcome to PulseWire! I am dying to read things you have written. You have had such an interesting journey in your life. What inspired you to take such turns in your career?

Jenna

Well ... I am afraid that by now, I only have articles written in spanish ... if you want to read some of them, go to the website that I am about to launch : www.corresponsaldepaz.org

I took that "crazy turns" because I think that in live you need renovation, and a journalist neet it by double ;-) to be in touch with "real reality" ... otherwhise, you maybe could transform you in "a big star" and forget your goals as a proffessional.

It was so excited to work on international TV, and it was funny as well (and tired as well) but in a particular moment I felt that I was needing more "deep" in the stories thata I wanted to tell ... so I took the "long way" to become in that that alwas has been my drem: to write

Now after working 2 years with CNN again (with my best friend as my big boss, which was difficult) I decided to jump again to get a bigger dream: not only to write, but to write about those things that I really believe on ... peace is one of them

Am I scared?! OF COURSE!!! but its part of the game .... you have to front your fears ... so ... I encourage you to do it time on time ... you will see that its exciting to discover "how many things we have inside us ... there ... sleeping, waiting to be used and useful for you and others.

Come to write to us !!! If you want to ...

I would love to learn about peace journalism and how women can make a difference from you. Thanks for offering me such a great opportunity. I am still learning about an article posted on your journal, gender equality in journalism. I would welcome your other articles about peace journalism at my email. Thank you
