About Me: I am a 33 year old man, acting executive director of a youth organisation that aims at making the youth responsible citizens. Currently, we are facilitating a taloring course for 20 women in our community who are the most unpreviledged, on top of that they are also taking care of the elderly and orphans.

The youth by doing so, they are going to grow up really responsible. We also donated blankets during this cold weather to the elderly and orphans.

To the elderly, we are to strategise on how they (elderly women) could transfer their skills to the small girls before they die. This will make the girls busy, earn money after the sells of what they will make(buskets, potterly) hence reducing prostitution.

My Passions: To see women financially reliant to minimise gender based violence and HIV transmission.

My Challenges: Financial resources

My Vision for the Future: Women to be the investors

My Areas of Expertise: Community Development

Your welcome message has made me feel at home and I promise to share alot with you.I like working with women because its my mother made me who I am today(may her soul rest in peace). She passed away on the same on 11th August,1999 and today is her day! She was a hard worker, she liked speaking out for her women friends and children though its now that am starting understanding her actions. Lets join hands!

Thanks once again. Moses.

Dear Moses, I am sure she is smiling in heaven because the is a good way to remember her today and I pray she finds inner joy with the life she had lived and thank God you follow her footstep, we will continue doing good because in no time we shall reap what we are doing. Congratulations for having had a mother with such legacy......

Peace! Fatima

Fatima, Sometimes I am thinking that am pishing air expecting something to happen-cheating myself when I try to help and talk on behalf of women. I stopped drinking(am not sure now if its permanently) to be saving something for the small projects am doing with the youth and unpreviledged women. My friends are calling me all sorts of names, now am very much encouraged to know that there are other people out there who are more less like me.

My role model was my mother, she still inspires me! 11th August,1999 its today again-OOH! having you friends its like giving my mothers dreams back, what a coicedence.

Hi Moses,

It’s so exciting having you with us. There are only a few men here on PulseWire so far, but we hope to see the community of male allies in the movement for women's empowerment grow.

I encourage you to join the group "Through His Eyes" (http://www.worldpulse.com/pulsewire/groups/7474). This is a space for men to safely and freely share their thoughts and experiences on how to support women. Use this group, and your own personal journal to tell us more about yourself! I would love to know what you're doing or want to do to bring a better world into reality.

I also noticed that you've joined the Voices of Our Future applicants group. Please review the criteria for the online training program, on this page: http://worldpulse.com/pulsewire/groups/21780.

Welcome again to our global community and I look forward to hearing more from you here on PulseWire!

Best wishes, Scott

Scott, My first impression after joining PulseWire was that am heading to the wrong direction, women will boo at me, then I started discovering male faces; it was a relief and today I have been introduced to our web.

Look, women are our mothers, sisters, aunts etc I dont know why some men are still lurking behing like this, they still see women as kitchen engeneers and not partners in development.

Thanks for the whole updated ; the VOF.

Moses.
