Introducing myself and my journal: Group Learning Community

About Me:
I was born of poor families in urban areas, there is no opportunity for higher education. When I was teenager, I was working in the capital to survive. No opportunity to develop themselves, until finally I joined as a volunteer in an AIDS project in the district in 2006. I am very lucky to be given a great curiosity by the gods, so that the learning process does not stop because of my age. Spicy with volunteers at a local NGO, my life will be more complete and scalable. With the experience I have, I am optimistic that can contribute to the society, especially the rural poor women to share knowledge in a space that is equivalent, under the name \"group learning society\".

My first \"Group learning community\" that I was initiated in 2010 named PERMAT (Independent Women of Tlogotuwung). This study group consisted of women who earns a meager living as a poor dryland farmers on the edge of the forest and cattle herders. The poor village is named Tlogotuwung, District Randublatung, Blora regency of Central Java province. Everyone knows, that Indonesia country has the largest population after United States of America, which consists of tens of thousands of islands with abundant wealth. Java is the most populous and most advanced, because the state capital is located there. While the eastern part of Indonesia is the most backward civilization, the construction was behind it. But ironically, the island of Java that supposedly more advanced too uneven development, so some districts that have natural resources in foreign exchange contributor to poor people instead.

To achieve Tlogotuwung village, we had to drive a motorcycle or car with big wheels as far as 19 kilometers into the teak forests. If lucky, we'll get there about 1 hour. However, when the rainy season arrives the travel time can be 2-fold. In fact, not far away there was oil drilling run by foreigners, not run by the state. Where is the real role of the state? In Article 33 paragraph 3 of the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia Year 1945 reads \"The earth, water and the natural riches contained therein controlled by the State and used for the welfare of the people\", has clearly betrayed.

I'm no angel, but as a human being born into a poor family does not have to be a fool. When the interaction with the community strengthens my inner, while learning to be a wide open space for the network that I have, it is never too late to start something useful for people. My age is now 37 years old and I have never regretted being a part of the rural communities. What I want to do for life is just do my best, though not all the good intentions could have made it perfect. There will always be a more robust process to initiate a \"small change\" in the community. Because to be honest I was not born in the village Tlogotuwung, but became part of the difficulty there is a new passion.

In the third year, PERMAT slowly start doing some concrete steps to fight for their dignity as part of a country called society. It's not a big step, such as oil drilling companies sued, but rather to try to slowly fight for the fulfillment of basic rights as citizens. The most basic thing that is currently required by the Tlogotuwung is a public service. As health services for mothers and children and education infrastructure, which has impact on the quality of life of people, particularly women and children. Number of people who transmigration and urbanization, an indication that the village does not have enough living space for people. Does the government is barren? So there are some citizens who were not neglected, but there surrounding foreign-owned oil drilling companies. To who exactly was in the exploitation of natural resources?
