helping poor seller

one early morning,i walked to the market near my house. It was not very far .When i reached the market,i saw a poor vegetable seller who was sitting on the ground .In front of her, there were a lot of vegetables which she was putting on a tray. She looked very old ,but her age was not as old as I thought. At that time ,three women wearing nice clothes were buying vegetables and bargaining with the poor seller. the three women told the poor seller that

"THAT LEMONS ARE TOO EXPENSIVE.YOU SHOULD GIVE US 100 KYATS FOR 7 LEMONS ,NOT ONLY 5 LEMONS .IF YOU GIVE US SPECIAL DISCOUNT ,WE WILL BUY THAT LEMONS".

The poor seller told the three women that

"IT IS NOT EXPENSIVE. I HAVE ALREADY GIVEN YOU LOWEST PRICE FOR THE LEMONS".

The poor seller requested to three women not to bargain.Whatever she said, the three women didn't buy anything and left the vegetable seller's shop. The poor seller felt very upset because those three women were first customers at her vegetable shop.At that time, I was first standing near the vegetable shop and i was also upset the three women .Why did they bargain with the poor seller? They didn't know that only one lemon made a sadness for the poor seller .And then,I thought about people's minds.

Most MYANMAR housewives always bargain with poor vegetable sellers .For example, poor vegetable seller give their customer 100 kyats for 1 piece of mango but most housewives want to get 2 pieces mangoes .I think ,some of the housewives are not fair to poor seller because when they go to shopping malls, they don't care about 100 kyats ,but when they buy vegetables from poor seller they want to get a good deal.

I feel very sad for the poor sellers.I never bargain with poor vegetable sellers.Sometimes ,I choose to buy form poor sellers because I want to help them .Going to the market that day taught me the life style of the poor and how much poor sellers struggle to survive.
