Introducing myself and my journal

I'm glad to be a part of the WorldPulse community! A little about me:
I have my B.A. in Philosophy and International Studies with a Women's Studies minor. While an undergraduate, I helped to found a club focusing on women's rights as well as an annual conference that showcases work that relates to women's issues, everything from women in politics to body image to literature. I'm currently living outside of Philadelphia where I work at a graduate school that offers programs in acupuncture, meditation and Buddhist studies. Aside from this I'm also an avid reader and writer and have been trying my hand at website design. I speak Spanish (though am much better at reading it) and am trying to teach myself German.

My Passions:
Civil Rights, Philosophy, Writing, Design, Running, Learning all that I can about everything that I can.

My Challenges:
I consistently bite off more than I can chew. A challenge? Maybe. A lot of fun? Definitely.
