About Me: HI! I'm Zory. The most basic thing about me is that I am work in progress, I still have a lot to learn and I ask a lot of questions, though I haven't really asked these questions out loud. The reason so many times I keep my questions quite is because of my great fear of sounding ignorant. The most important question I have always had is: What issues are women still facing today? WHY aren't these issues solved yet? And what can I do to help? I have always been a feminist, but until rather recently I was not very vocal about it, mostly because I didn't know I should be. There really wasn't much behind my feminism, I just was (my mother and grandmothers are the reason really), I knew as a woman that I was strong, brilliant and that I should be able to choose what I wanted and expected from my life without judgement. It wasn't until about 3 years ago (freshman year) that I really started reading, I became eager to learn about our social issues. However this was also when I realized how much still needs to be done, since my University does not have a formal Gender Studies program I am a sociology major. So I haven't really been formally educated in women's issues, but thanks to the internet and wonderful resources like: Equality Now, Feministing.com, National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health, and so many more I have been able to form educated opinions, arguments and slowly speaking up more. Now that I am working on the learning and reading aspect of helping toward social change, becoming aware that there is still a problem, I am extremely motivated to find a way I can put it all in ACTION...still working on it. ;)

My Passions: life, animals, education, my family

My Challenges: my location, my ambitions don't match my pocket

Hello Zory, You have tough questions and these are brilliant, no ignorant persons can ask what you ask, they would rather sit down ans dine with anti-feminists and laugh LOUDEST as others struggle for better living for fellow women ~those are the ignorant and in fact the anti-feminists are ignorant because if they analyzed the value of equality; men and women reasoning together, this world would be a better place for all.BUT they are coming, one by one they will understand our cry. Work in progress, your ACTION starts here....
