I am a Domestic Violence Survivor now for over 32 years, I have been the leading voice against DV in my country. I have done a Documentry on the issue and have been leading the cause for over 10 years now. I am always doing talk show and conducting interviews so that we can create the awareness that equality and equity are not a phantom but something that can be acheived in our life-time.

I am many things. A teacher, a development worker, a student, a partner, a sister, a survivor. But I write as a woman, in all of the simplicity and fullness of that word. I write this as a woman who seeks a kind of freedom for my gender that is complete, satisfying, and full of grace.
I have been a member of this organisation for the past eight years and i have been offically employed with the organisation for the pas two and a half years when they finally got their own space. I am presently attending school at COSTAATT in Trinidad & Tobago i am persuing a degree in Human resource management and want to complete this by 3013 so that i can persue my Gender Degree.
I am thirty years old, working full-time and going to school part-time to complete my Bachelor's Degree in Social Work. I am the eldest of 6 children and love being a big sister and aunt to my two nieces. I have no children and am not married. Before my foray in social work, I was a reporter/news assistant for a television station for almost 10 years.

I have been currently working as a Program Manager in Equal Access Nepal, managing and coordinating various radio programs through the conceptualization, planning, design, production, dissemination and the assessing of radio programs on themes related to HIV and AIDS, sexual and reproductive health, health, education and gender.
I am an aspiring social scientist and hope to expand my knowledge in human behaviour. Having studied anthropology at my undergraduate studies has helped me to appreciate the diversity in human kind and their behaviour.
