I am a compassionate volunteer for women's issues and empowerment. I have spent the last year living in Kenya and believe that positive change here and throughout societies starts with giving a girl a chance. I grew up in a farming community in the U.S. and am the first to go to college in my family. I am a global citizen.
I'm a writer by profession, a stay at home mom by choice and a south paw by rigid determination (just ask my kinder garden teacher who tried to make me right handed:) ). I've spent most of my life in the Middle East though I'm very proud to be an Indian. I'd like to see more women giving each other the dignity we deserve.

You show others how to treat you. (This is so and true, for me when I stayed after my guy called me awful names I showed him it was okay. Then when he hit me and I stayed, again, I showed him it was all right.
