I am a mother of two girls, mother-in-law of one, and grandmother of one. I am HIV-positive, and have been public about my status since 2004. I take it as a chronic manageable condition, rather than a life-threatening disease.

I love listening to the voices of women from around the world. Any woman or child who lifts her voice courageously. I developed paralyzing shyness in my elementary school days. I had been homeschooled in the countryside, and my parents brought me into the public school. I remember the feeling of my voice, trapped.
