Voices of Our Correspondent

My dream as a child was to become an accountant in a Bank, it soon faded off with no hopes of studying. When I resumed with school I had my hopes raised to accounting not until my choice of Business Administration and accounting was turned off for Information Technology (IT) by the University registry department in 2004.

Being the pioneers of the course (IT) in the main University here in Uganda, Makerere, I knew it was automatic to find a good IT job, drive a car and become a millionaire in months. From January 2008 to date my dream has not come true. I applied to every Telecom company, every Bank, every ICT related positions throughout Uganda in vain. Unfortunately "Technological Know who" (if you know someone somewhere, you get the job) could and can not favour me. Seeing nothing coming to pass, I started creating my own small jobs where I earn a living to date. My mind is switched to another dream or vision, becoming a Business Woman through entrepreneurship and International investments (Majorly Electronics, Cloths and shoes) supported by the use of Information and Communication Technologies.

Everyone deserves a good life and I believe through sense of direction, anybody can do something for better living. I love supporting people, especially the needy people. Educating the most deserving is a priority in my personal diary, the miracle of changing from “a nobody “ to “a somebody” can become a circle of support if in a way that they are trained to promote the circle, to those facing the similar challenges as they did. My passion of support to communities lies around Education, a voice for health support of the voiceless (those with complicated diseases in the rural and remote areas, the mad, the impaired). I believe somebody who is considered to be a nobody can become somebody given support. If every “somebody” would support a “nobody” to until they become somebody we would be “together as one”. What I do for a community, I do to the world, a community of transformed lives can create a huge impact in transforming the whole world for better.

I want to become Voices of Our Correspondent so that I become the Voice of the voiceless, the Nobodies to become somebodies, I also want to expand my entrepreneurship skills and operations from grassroot to International investments through networking with fellow women my entrepreneurship skills is aimed at Empowering more women to engage in Businesses because I believe women have the potential and the patience, most women are Customer Care defined by nature (created with sales or marketing figure, happy, friendly and welcoming) and therefore they can do business more successful than men, (this is why most customer care jobs are offered to women), if they are empowered and trained to do businesses beyond their reach the economies throughout the whole world will grow bigger and more networked.

I am not limited by my professional. I am a researcher , I am a writer (a journalist), I am an upcoming mentor, I am a social worker, I am innovative, always looking forward to a positive change, I can shout for positive change, shout louder , louder until I am heard. I have been looking for a platform to raise my voice for the most pressing issues that are always ignored, I have found one, World Pulse, Pulse Wire and I am by nature Voices of Our Correspondent!
